Clumping, upright grass  to 2-3’ tall, native of Southeastern US.  Grown for  the spectacular show of airy masses of ivory-white flowers held a foot above the foliage from summer through winter.  Full sun to light shade, moderately drought tolerant but looks its best with occasional watering.  Color and texture of flowers make for an exceptional accent plant and show-stopping when large masses are in full bloom.  Superior Trees Nursery introduction.  Hardy to 15°
